Spring steel boning - continuous, 5.5mm

Continuous spring steel boning measuring 5.5mm wide by 1.0mm thick (steel cross section of 4.9mm x 0.6mm). This type of boning flexes forwards and back, but not side to side. It is nylon coated to prevent rusting.

This boning is stiffer than the pre-cut lengths also on offer. SeeSpring steel boning - pre-cut. It is suitable for corsets requiring a slightly stiffer and more supportive structure.

Sold by the metre, you are able to cut to the lengths you require - best done with a set of tin snips or bolt cutters. Note that the ends will need to be filed down and tipped to prevent the bone wearing through fabric.
